In the general election of 26 Nov 2011 The Greens received their highest vote ever, 10.6 percent. That was enough to ensure Waiheke's Denise Roche, at number 11 on the Greens list, was comfortably elected to parliament as an MP. The day after the voting Chris Walker talked to Denise about her reaction to her election.
