Amy Winehouse has died age 27

Amy Winehouse was found dead early Saturday morning in London.  She was 27 years old.  She had a short and eratic career but has left us with some great songs.  Mr Fox plays Monkey Man in memory of an artist whose personal life attracted as much attention as her music.

Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator

We are taking a break from Harry Potter now that we have finished the Goblet of Fire.  For the next few weeks we will be hearing episodes of Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator the bizarre sequel the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  Join Charlie Bucket, Willy Wonka, Grandma Josephine, Grandpa Joe, Grandma Georgina and Grandpa George as they travel through space and get into the most tricky pre-dickie-ments. We play our serial story shortly after the birthday calls at 9 am on Sundays.

Korimako's Quest at Whakanewha Regional Park

Today's Story Festival Event is confirmed to go ahead at Whakanewha Regioanl Park.  This completely free event is an adventure for children with all sorts of wacky characters.  Follow the road to Rocky Bay and turn off at Gordons Road.  The action should be starting at around ten.  Watcch out for Mr Rat and see what you can do to help the Korimako (Bellbird) raise another brood of chicks.

Teddy Bears' Picnic 7 March

The Teddy Bears' Picnic is going to be at Palm Beach Playground on Sunday 7 March.  There's just enough time to give Teddy a wash and shampoo and get him or her ready for the toy animal event of the year.  There will be games, songs, prizes and Mr Fox will be there in person.

Lachlan has won himself a free ticket to see the Funky Monkeys show on Wednesday 20 January.  There is one more ticket to give away.today. We are starting a new Roald Dahl story today; "George's Marvellous Medicine" and we carry on with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Happy Birthday to Briar Heer on 15 January and Jamie Schwarz on 17 January.
