A podcast is a series of audio or video digital-media files which are distributed over the Internet by syndicated download, through Web feeds, to portable media players and personal computers. Though the same content may also be made available by direct download or streaming, a podcast is distinguished from other digital-media formats by its ability to be syndicated, subscribed to, and downloaded automatically when new content is added.
Most podcast pages on the Waiheke Radio website have an embedded player where you can listen to the file on the site if you wish, or you can also download files for listening later on your device of choice.
If you would prefer you may also "subscribe" to our podcasts using a music player like iTunes or another RSS feed reader. Subscribing to a podcast will automatically download any new podcasts to your player for listening at your leisure.
To subscribe to a podcast with iTunes:
Juice is a cross-platform Podcast receiver. You can use it to Subscribe to Podcasts, receive them and listen to them on your computer or portable audio player. With Juice you can easily Subscribe to your favorite Podcast feeds, or any Podcast you find on the Internet. You can have Juice make periodic checks for new episodes, or even schedule a time for checking yourself.
