In a Mellow Tone brings you music on the jazzy side of life every Monday 7 to 8pm. Each show has it's own special focus, whether it is a vocalist, muscial instrument, genre, live recordings, interviews. International or local. Vintage or modern. 

In a Mellow Tone, also known as In a Mellotone, is a 1939 jazz standard composed by Duke Ellington with lyrics written by Milt Gaber

In a Mellow Tone used as theme by:

♦ Howard Stern Show in 90s. The jock that put shock into "shock jock".

♦ Ron Sweetman for his weekly jazz and blues radio show on CKCU-FM 93.1 since May 1976. 

♦ The late Hayden Shirley ( known affectionally as the grandfather of national radio) as one of three themes for his late night jazz programme that ran for thirty years.
