Saturday Special - The Jimi Hendrix Experience

Posted 15/09/2009 - 21:54 by Jeremy

James Marshall "jimi" Hendrix

Born Johnny Allen Hendrix: November 27th 1942 - September 18 1970

Jimi was god's gift to the Fender Stratocaster and together they rewrote the rule book on guitar playing. He is one of the most creative and influential musicians of the 20th century. His unique style and over the top showmanship have turned him into a mythical god like figure that people still worship 40 years after his premature death. Join me on a hazy trip through his life and music, we'll explore his studio albums, experience live concert recordings and find those elusive rare tracks.

Tune in to the Saturday Special September 19th 8pm
